Creating a Custom Hardware Alarm

1. Open the Remote Unit Configuration application.
2. In the Available Remote Units list, select the Remote Unit.
   Use the Search Engine utility to find a particular Remote Unit or group of related Remote Units
3. Click the Edit Icon.
   The View Remote Unit dialog box appears.
4. Click the Hardware Alarms tab.
5. In the Hardware alarm list, select the hardware alarm you want to customize.
   The default description (alarm function) for the selected alarm is displayed in the box under Alarm Specification.
6. In the box under Available alarm user descriptions, enter your own custom description or select one from the list of available user descriptions located below the box.
7. Click the Apply button.
   Your custom description is now displayed in the User Description column next to the Default column description for the selected hardware alarm.
