Adding a Relay to a Remote Unit

1. Open the Remote Unit Configuration application.
2. In the Available Remote Units list, select the Remote Unit.
   Use the Search Engine utility to find a particular Remote Unit or group of related Remote Units
3. Click the Edit Icon.
   The View Remote Unit dialog box appears.
4. Click the Relay Information tab.
5. Click the Add... button (located directly below the Relay list).
   The Add Relay for: [the selected Remote Unit ID] dialog box appears.
6. In the Description box, enter a text description for the relay.
7. Watch for these features in a future DC 2009 Release!
   • Under State, select the state in which you want to set the relay when it is added. (The relay is configured to the selected state when you click OK, and close the dialog box).
   • Select Notify on relay failure if you want to be notified if the initial setting or the resetting of the relay fails.
8. In the Relay limit box, click the arrows and select the number of attempts the system will make to alter the Relay's state (the maximum value is "3").
9. Click OK.
