Vectron Configuration Application Overview

The Vectron Configuration Application is where you must begin when setting up and configuring your Remote Units. This application is used to:

Add and Remove Remote Units to the system
View and Edit Remote Unit information
Set up Alarm Information
Configure Input Field and Report Units
Document Installation Information
Set up Call Information

How Remote Units Are Used in the System
A Remote Unit is the hardware in the field. A unique Remote Unit ID identifies the field Remote Unit. The system Vectron Unit Configuration specifies how to collect the data from the field Remote Unit. Each Vectron Unit Configuration has a unique Remote Unit ID. In order to retrieve data from the field Vectron Unit, you must have a Remote Unit in the system configured with the same unique Remote Unit ID.
