Adding a Vectron Remote Unit

There are two ways to add a Vectron Remote Unit to the system:
To add a new Vectron Remote Unit to the system:
  1. Open the Vectron Configuration application.
  2. Do one of the following:
    Click the Add Icon.
    Select Add from the Data menu.
    The Add Vectron Unit dialog box appears.
  3. Check the Active check box if your unit will be actively calling in and included in all reports.
  4. In the New Remote Unit ID: box, enter the new Vectron Remote Unit ID.
    If the new Remote Unit ID is for a Mercury Instruments emote Unit product, and the first integers in the ID are zeros, you can type
          the non-zero integers in the New emote Unit ID box and the zeros are automatically inserted. For example, if the new Remote
          Unit ID is 000018, you can type 18. This feature works for IDs that are as large as six places (as shown in the example).
  5. In the Vectron Type box, click the arrow and select a Vectron type.
  6. In the Number of Channels box, click the arrow and select the number of channels.
    This is dependent on the Vectron type.
  7. In the Call Profile box, click the arrow and select a call profile.
  8. Extended Function. If the unit you are adding has this capability, click YES.
  9. Click OK.
To add new Vectron Remote Unit, using information copied from an existing Vectron Remote Unit, to the system:
  1. Open the Vectron Configuration application.
  2. In the Available Vectron Units list, select the Remote Unit you want to copy information from.
  3. Do one of the following:
    Click the Add Icon.
    Select Add from the Data menu.
    The Add Vectron Unit dialog box appears.
  4. Check the Active check box if your unit will be actively calling in and included in all reports.
  5. In the New Vectron Remote Unit ID: box, enter the new Vectron Remote Unit ID.
    If the new Remote Unit ID is for a Mercury Instruments emote Unit product, and the first integers in the ID are zeros, you can type

  6. Select Copy Remote Unit ID:.
    The remaining fields are filled with the information from the selected Remote Unit.
  7. Click OK.
